Spring Isn’t Here

Hello! So the bad news is spring doesn’t begin until March 19th. The good news is Phoenix Spring has begun with temps in the 70s! Yah, it’s a thing in the southwest. I am only hoping the weather ramps up slowly because I love the 60’s and 70’s, but I loathe actual hot weather. We’ve lived in Phoenix far too long. For me, the heat is like the snowy weather in other places. I am forced to stay indoors. I get cabin fever. I get really cranky. And air conditioning is very expensive. We put solar panels on the house last summer. That helps the bills a bit. Someday I’d like to live off grid, though.

In the meantime, (in other news) TJ is scheduled for a minor surgery on his left bicep. He has a fatty mass that the doctor is going to excise. He should heal quickly. The reason for the surgery is that the mass pushes on his nerves near his elbow. He gets numbness and tingling in his lower arm, wrist, and hand. The doctor thinks this is a pretty cut and dried operation. Pardon the pun… He will heal quickly.

Before that we will be off to Tombstone for the Western Writers Event. Because my books are situated in Arizona and Wyoming, I figured I qualified. We’ll be concentrating on Cheyenne on Her Mind, Death at Hell’s Canyon Quarry, and the historical fiction stories beginning with Memories of War. TJ’s books will be there, too, available for other people who like science/fantasy books. We are very excited about this event as we will be taking our new trailer and staying overnight. This will be our first trip with it. A trial run, if you will.

Our future trips with the trailer will include Cottonwood for the Verde Valley https://www.verdevalleycomicexpo.com/info Comic Expo, and then the Boyer Family Reunion in Kalamazoo, MI. After that, we’ll be hopefully traveling to Washington to see my sister, Susan Wingate, who is a successful author! This trip will have a side trip to Wyoming to see our granddaughter and her husband. Taking our trailer will be like taking our own home. We’re pretty excited. I will be writing from the road and posting on places we see.

TJ and I hope you will follow us on our adventure this year. Please comment on the blog, our lives, and our books. We love to hear from you!
