I sit here realizing summer is almost over. Parts of me are relieved. This has been a rough year. Too many family losses. Too many friends gone. We still have several months ahead of us. For that reason, I want to honor God and my Uncle Edgar at this time.
Edgar Ajamie was born July 27, 1931, in Lockport, Illinois, to Thomas and Evelyn Ajamie, the fifth of six children. He was preceded in death by his siblings Ruth, Margaritte, and Teddy, who died in infancy, and by his brothers, Amil and James “Jim/Jimmy.” He was my godfather.
He was a super decent man who was married to Elaine Casciato for 67 years. They had five children, my cousins, Tom, Terry, Jean, Jackie, & John, all of whom have grown up to be upstanding citizens.
As for God, the Father of Yeshua Messiah, there are these words:
John 16:33: In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.
Psalm 56:3: When I am afraid, I put my trust in you.
2 Corinthians 4:16-17: Do not lose heart. Though our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day.
Yeshua/Jesus warned us there would be tough times but as I put my trust in Him, I am not afraid–I don’t lose heart even when life isn’t going the way I want or expect. We are expected to stand tall. We are expected to move forward, even when we are grieving or in pain. We honor God by doing this; He who is the most worthy of our honor.
Tim & I have been to funerals. We’ve met with loved ones. But until God the Father tells us to quit, we must run the race. We must fight the good fight. So we will.
So. May God bless you & keep you. May He let His light shine on you. May He give you peace.
