A Hazy Shade of Winter

Phoenix. The weather is schizophrenic here. One week, we’re hot, the next we’re cold. There’s no rain for months, then the drips are here, day after day.

Please don’t misunderstand. I love rain. I wait all summer for the monsoons to blow in. Then I wait for the autumn, winter, and spring rains. I don’t live in the PNW for a reason, though. I do like sunshine. Day after day of clouds and gloom? They make me cloudy and gloomy. Today? Today is gorgeous. Just the perfect amount of sun and clouds. I take walks almost every day. These walks really help my moods, even when the weather is dreary.

TJ and I have a half year of events posted. Please check our upcoming calendar! We’ll be in Chandler, Tombstone, Cottonwood, Prescott Valley, & Payson, plus we’re signing up for more events… There are book events in August, October, and November, I think. I’ll add them as we get signed up for them.

Christmas was nice. We have a very small event with our kids and grandkids who are available. I wish the two in Montana could be here, that’s all. We are totally relaxed because we aren’t entertaining anyone but us. We had hamburgers with French fries. TJ cooked, as he usually does. I usually cook all the Thanksgiving meal, but when the only ones coming are the kiddos, TJ cooks.

Now for other business! We are working on books. I am 26K words into my new western romance. This one will have some Arizona history woven in. And yes, I research. A lot of research. I wanted this story to be out by March, but I don’t think I’ll make my self-imposed deadline. I do not write that fast.

My Cancer Chronicles book is with the BETA readers. Once I get them back with their criticisms, I will do a big edit, then a read through, then we’ll publish. I have a cute cover that Susan Wingate helped me with. I don’t want to do a reveal until a week or so before we publish, though. So you have to wait. Also, the cookbook. The Lebanese Cookbook is in the final phase of editing. TJ is working on setting the pages and photos. Yay!

Laugh & the world laughs with you!

TJ is working on a drama about a hijacked plane. That’s all I can tell you. I imagine this one won’t be out for several months. He sent the manuscript to me for editing, but I was overwhelmed by the work he left undone. So I sent the story back to him. We’ll arm wrestle over that one for a while before the finished product comes out.

In the meantime, TJ has The Man Who Rode Dragons out. This story is a fun fantasy set in contemporary times. If you like dragons, elves, and life away from this world, this book is for you!

We also published The Yavapai County Murders. This is the sequel to the Death at Hells Canyon Quarry. The story follows Detective Allen Anderson and Rebecca Tsosie, as they solve a new crime! If you like murder mysteries, these are fun Arizona-based stories!

There. That is our new year in a nutshell. If you enjoy reading our books or our blog, please feel free to make a comment at the end! I love to hear from you. Also, if you review us on Amazon, that helps with our sales. So Happy New Year. May God bless you abundantly.
