The New Year, 2026 is only ten weeks away. That’s crazy talk, isn’t it? When we were eighteen and nineteen years old in the 70’s, we never even looked into the 2000’s. They didn’t exist, but now? Now we are twenty-five years in. (gasp)
I love our life. We’ve been through the good, the bad, and the good again. Literally, through sickness and health, we’ve grown better together, TJ and I. Somedays? I am tired, but mostly I’m excited by our existence. We have a faithful God who loves us. We have beautiful kids, some even more beautiful grandkids, and our extended family is wonderful. Additionally, we have old friends and new friends, and lots of associate type friends.

Our life is full of busy-ness, and that’s okay. We write, we homeschool the littlest kid. We make art, repair things, wash, rinse, and repeat, day after day. Sometimes we travel a bit. But right now? We are planning our book event schedule for 2026. If you click on our events page, you’ll see… pretty much nothing. We haven’t decided what to do. We’re getting older. These events wear us out. But they are fun, particularly for me because I love people. TJ is more introverted, although in smaller venues you can’t tell. He’s quite the talker… quite the story teller, that one.
As we go forward into the holiday season, Thanksgiving and Christmas, we may take a bit of a break from some things. We need this time to rejuvenate, because the new year actually begins quickly with events. Still, I will have a blog or two for you before then!
Also, TJ and I have new books out, if you look at our pages. But we are both writing more books in the meantime. Writing doesn’t stop. So look forward into the future with us, God willing. There will be something new, something different, something beautiful, in the new year.
