Come Fly With Me (& TJ)

Yesterday was Independence Day! Happy birthday to the USA, & also to our personal firecracker, Sonja, our daughter. We had hamburgers & birthday cake. Then when they left (the family) TJ & I hunkered down with our dog, Ruby. I had to give her some Calm medicine, then cover her with a weighted blanket so she wouldn’t lose her mind from the fireworks in the neighborhood. This photo, below, was taken when Sonja was two. The Arizona Republic posted this on their front cover for the 4th of July. (proud mama). Happy birthday, honey.

In a little over two weeks, TJ & I will be heading to Kalamazoo, Michigan, for a Boyer Family Reunion! This will be fun for many reasons, but mainly because we don’t get out there enough. I will post on Facebook for all our adventures as we travel along (singing a song). We figure the drive with the trailer will be about 3.5 days.

In the meantime, TJ & I have a kid’s lit book out! Elektra Fairy Meets Shaméd the Wizard! This story is about a young fairy princess, Elektra, who explores her home with her friend, Nasif, a hummingbird! One day, Elektra meets a wizard named Shaméd, who offers to take her on an adventure far from home. Elektra sees so many new sights! But danger awaits! Does Elektra escape? What new friends does she make? This story is appropriate for kids five years to twelve years. We hope you like this book for your kids & grandkids. As with all our stories, this one is family friendly.

We have two events coming up! First, well be in Paulden, Arizona, at the Paulden Pop Con! This is the second time this event has been put on, & our first time to be there. The date is July 12, 2025, so a week from today. The second event is the Payson Book Festival! We love this festival. Both Paulden & Payson are up north, so the weather should be nicer than Phoenix. If you have plans to be out of the Valley of the Sun, you should drop by. We have candy at our table.

As always, if you read our books, a review on Amazon, or even in our comments here, would be awesome. We love to hear from you, regardless. Have a great summer!
