I’m not a big partier. More like a person who likes peaceful routine. I do enjoy family get togethers, but afterwards, I need quiet to re-energize.
With regards to being a partier, I haven’t always been this way. I am, after all, and ENFJ-A personality. I am the protagonist/antagonist person. But since the cancer, quiet refreshing time is important. This may have begun earlier than the cancer, actually. I realize that now, while I’m thinking about it, living at full energy for too long, burns us out.
I lived at full burn for 20~ years, then I burned out.

That’s partly why God told us the Sabbath was to be a day of rest. Mostly, we were intended to celebrate Him each Sabbath, and to rest in quiet contemplation so we could re-energize for the next week. God is smarter than we are…
Now, if you’ve been reading this far, our summer travel begins Monday morning! The main photo is a landscape I often see along the Beeline Highway going north. The view is one reason I don’t leave Arizona. We’ll be visiting a friend of the Princess in Southern Arizona, near Benson, for a few days. They moved down there last year to build their own home on their own land.

Princess misses her friend a lot. We’ll take the tiny house (trailer) down to park on their five acres. We’ll do practically nothing for a couple while “P” hangs out with “N.” After that, we’ll come back.
We will plan for the next trip, a longer one to Montana, after that. We have events in July. The Paulden Pop Con, a comic and other pop stuff convention, July 12, so we have to be home for a couple of weeks, but after the Payson Book Festival, we will drive (only TJ & me) to Michigan for a family reunion. I want to go to Mount Rushmore on the way to MI. After that, we will come back to Phoenix.
BUT wait! There’s more! We will be going to the great Northwest for a while in August to visit my sister. We won’t take the tiny house this time. We’ll drive very fast in the Titan, avoiding CA like the plague. The trip up the I5 used to take us about 26 hours if we didn’t stop. Exhausting. Now, to stay out of commie-fornia, we’ll go up through Utah. Oops. My politics are showing.
In the meantime, I have my latest murder/mystery with my BETA readers. I’ll get those back from my besties next weekend, then do the fixes, a couple more edits, then off to my proofreader, then a final edit… We have a cover already! Then to publish. We remain happily self-published, indie authors. I will let you know when that one’s ready!
TJ’s latest may also be ready by July. Traveling won’t stop our writing. I actually believe this will enhance the efforts. Resting at RV resorts, sitting outside in the fresh air, not cleaning or doing laundry. But I digress. TJ’s new story is a fun fantasy with dragons, elves, and humans who get mixed up in another plane of existence. You fantasy readers will love this story. TJ has a cover, also. We’ll do a reveal in the next blog.
Now, all that being said, we had a good time with the small (very small) group of people who showed up at the park for Easter/Resurrection Sunday. You who didn’t come don’t know what you missed. C’est la vie.
I hope everyone, family and friends, know I love you. If you read a book we’ve written, let us know. Leave us a review on Amazon or Facebook, even. Let your friends know. And email me. We love to hear from you!
