Resting isn’t something that TJ and I are used to. At home, we do housework, walk the dogs, feed the animals, write the books, etc. Plus afternoons are spent homeschooling the little girl. Evenings are spent with dinner and quiet time.
BUT when you’re traveling, everything is different. We have half the stuff to do. The trailer is easy to clean. It’s only 22 feet long. We clean up the counters each time we cook, and I swept the floor this morning. The busy stuff is still walking the dog and feeding the grandgirl. We haven’t had a little kid this near since the grandboy was little. He’s 19 now. Each grand has been different in terms of neediness. This one needs the most. Most of the time. That being said, we’re going to the San Juan Island’s County Fair this afternoon. We should have some fun.
I will take some photos about the fair. One thing… I forgot my camera to computer cable. I think I have about 3-4 of them, but yeah. No cable in my computer bag. No cable in my camera bag. Sheesh. So I will be taking some with my camera and some with my phone. I can upload my phone photos with no problems. The one that’s my header photo I took yesterday morning.
Tomorrow we will be having a BBQ with my sister and her friend. Other than that and a couple of walks with Ruby Sue the dog, we will be chilling out. Just saying. Sometimes it isn’t about entertaining the kid, right? Sometimes it’s about resting.
We had a leak in the bathroom, btw. We will be expecting the RV guys to fix it for us when we return. TJs been working on the pipes for a few days. We found the clamps and corners are points of failure for the water lines. So, so, so annoying. But we also found out our big Jackery power station works great. If we are careful, it lasts 24 hours. We don’t have the refrigerator, though. The new one is on order once more.
The San Juan Islands, WA are marvelous. Everyone should visit if they have a chance. Even for one day. You have to book ahead with the Washington State Ferries/Anacortes to Friday Harbor (or one of the islands). They hold your reservation money and add it to your ticket when you arrive. Don’t miss the boat, literally. They will keep your reservation money.
We will see you on our next blog. May God bless you and keep you!
