Exciting news for next week! Our romance novel, Cheyenne on Her Mind, will be posting on the Fussy Librarian on March 5th at a discounted price! If you haven’t joined the Fussy Librarian to see great books at great prices (sometimes free) in the genre you love, then you should. This costs nothing except weekly emails to let you know what’s new.
For March, TJ and I have two events at the end of the month. Go check out our website Events and Appearances. These are March 24th in Sedona, and March 25th, in Cottonwood. At the Sedona Library, March 24th, TJ will be presenting his World Building Panel about how Dungeons and Dragons affected the writing of The Mirror Gate Chronicles series. If you’re interested in world building for your science fiction or fantasy novel, this would be a great presentation for you. We hope you’ll come up to see us (if you’re in Arizona or nearby). The event in Cottonwood will be a small, but fun local comic convention.
In the meantime, we’ve been writing/editing stories. TJ is working on a couple. I started a story, but needed his help. He’s happily working and reworking some ideas on mine while I edit his. We often bounce ideas off one another. Sometimes loudly. Mostly, I’ve been re-re-re-editing his short stories. This will be a fun read once it’s finished.
Editing is not easy. The process can take many, many tries. We’ve rewritten, re-edited, and farted around with most of our books over 6-8 times. This is required for you to get a good, interesting story. Every published writer will tell you this.
In the meantime, Song Sung Blue — Everybody knows one. The week has been tough for TJ and me. We’ve experienced two family deaths since Saturday, and one devastating car accident that left our young cousin in the ICU. No one knows how this will turn out for him. Not even the doctors, at this point. But even when death or life is unfair, God is good. All the time. This is not a platitude. This is a profound truth. So we pray. We ask God for HIS will to be done. Yes, we ask for HIS mercy and healing, but in the end, only God’s will is perfect. If you pray, are a praying person, to God Almighty, please pray for our cousin. Thanks.
