I Love Christmas

Nine years ago, my son Thomas and I took Simone and Nasif up north to the snow. She was 19 and he was 8 years old. We found the best place to play, sled, and freeze. If you’re from AZ, you know just what I mean.

This year, with Simone 28, Nasif 17, and the bonus kid, Elektra 7, we will probably go again. Maybe to this same spot, as well. We took Nasif and Elektra last year, but there was no sledding. Simone was living in California. She stayed there for the holiday with her husband, Arthur.

We found snow, there were snowballs, and hilarity, but Elektra needs the sledding experience. Don’t you agree? These times with the grandkids brings my whole world to life. God has blessed TJ and me so much. We have decent, kind kids, and wonderful, healthy grandkids.

Blessed, blessed, blessed!

The New Year will be blessed, as well. We already have events scheduled, so please look at the event page on this website. We’d love for you to join us (if you’re in Arizona). We had no less than eight (8) events last year. We expect we’ll have that many or more in 2023.

In the meantime, TJ sent me one book to edit. Additionally, we have one to read aloud together, and one to totally rewrite for reasons we won’t discuss in this blog. I sent my romance to a publisher just for fun. If I don’t hear from them by January 2, I expect the book is a reject. But that’s okay! I think this one, a romance novel, will do well on Amazon without the help of an official publisher. More about that in the New Year!

In fun news, I fell (cause I’m a klutz) about four weeks ago. I broke my radial bone at the elbow. They don’t cast these anymore because they don’t want you to lose range of motion. Who knew? Now, four weeks later, I’m pretty much healed. We’ve managed to stay healthy even though everyone around us has gone down with miserable colds or flu. Again, blessed, blessed, blessed!

We especially wish you a Merry Christmas. Being Christians, we love this holiday because it is a visual reminder to people that we have a Savior, our Lord Jesus Christ who sacrificed Himself for us. Christmas isn’t about Santa, it isn’t about the tree or the presents. Christmas is the Christ Mass–only about Jesus Christ.

We love comments back from you, so if you read this, send me a note! If you read our books, please leave a review on Amazon. Even if you only write something very short. Every review helps your favorite authors.

May God’s peace be with you this season and all through the New Year.
