Happy Late Thanksgiving

We’ve had a busy couple of weeks in Mirror Gate Chronicles land. But just wait! As the commercials say. Beginning in January, we have two events scheduled already. Additionally, we have two scheduled for March! You can see them here: click me. We would love it if you could join us. TJ will be presenting his World Building presentation, and describing how he and friends used Dungeons and Dragons ideas to create the worlds of the Mirror Gate Chronicles. (Our thanks to John and Jim).

The Verde Valley Author Expo was great. Verde Valley/Cottonwood/Sedona is a beautiful area. We met lots of great people like Joel and Ross at www.oncewewerelost.com. These two guys are writing extensions to Peter Pan. I’ve read the blurb, and I think this story is worth reading. I can’t wait for it to be out. You can sign up for their newsletter on their page.

We also met up with Sohrab Rezvan who writes children’s books. He’s at https://www.amazon.com/Adventures-Princess-Goose-Book-Dragons/dp/B09QHF7856/.

In the meantime, I tripped and fell. Now I have a little break at the top of my radius bone near my elbow. They don’t cast these anymore because you can lose range of motion. Imagine throwing yourself into a full body pushup, catching yourself so your face doesn’t hit the ground… now all the muscles in my body are sore. I’m thanking God for TJ who helps me shower and dress. I’m thanking God for giving me muscle memory from years of dance and gym classes so I could protect myself from a full face plant onto the concrete. And I thank God for Travis, who came out to help when I didn’t think I could get up without help. I managed to, but it wasn’t easy. Also, Simone who went inside to get help… This was all after the amazing day at the Author Expo.

I am on the mend, and looking forward to decorating for Christmas this weekend. I have two granddaughters available. (Yeah) Of course some of this depends upon my energy levels. I may watch them decorate a lot. All my little chores make me pretty tired during the day. My body ached like I spent four hours in the gym lifting and running.

TJ is writing. A lot. I am not right now. Being tired keeps me out of the game. But I’ll be back in before you know it. He has five stories ready for editing and twenty more outlines, notes on new stories, and who knows what else waiting.

We’ve had a nice Thanksgiving weekend, by the way. I am thankful to God for our family, for our friends, and you, our readers. May God bless you in all you do.
